Avery and Chance

A formal, all-black dress code set the tone for Avery and Chance’s wedding day in the gorgeous mountains of West Virginia. Set at The Ellis House, guests moved from a ceremony in front of the home to a patio mocktail hour and into a glass reception space for the evening.

The seating chart served as a focal point in the reception entrance, featuring a custom illustration of the property’s fountain and a museum-style display with framed bow ties for men and necklaces for women, each paired with their name card. At each place setting, guests found a menu tied with a black ribbon and finished with their name in white foil, alongside an individual cake and a mini Martinelli sparkling cider tagged “Save Me for the Toast.”

To complete the day, we designed programs, table numbers, catering signage, and reserved seating details. We even added wallpaper to the on-site bar to fully brand the space! A personal favorite, this one was especially meaningful. It was my sister’s wedding, and I had the privilege of standing beside her as maid of honor.
